A user-space linux driver for the Striker-II USB missile launcher by Alex Suzuki

Behold the power of lasers...

Well, there's not really much to say... just grab it! The usual legalese applies, I don't take take responsibility for anything that might happen to you or your computer or anything else should you use this driver. The driver is based on libusb for the USB communication with the rocket launcher. It consists of some common base code, a minimal command-line application and an even more minimal GLUT GUI. Please let me know if you hack a cool interface, I'll be more than happy to link to you here (and of course toy around with it...)

And yes, the laser works! ;-)

News

Dec 4, 2008 - The driver was featued in the hak5 tech show! Awesome show guys! Out of six drivers, it was the only one that worked with the particular model. Quite a surprise for me!

Building Striker

Command-line Striker

You need the GNU ncurses library to build the command-line interface. You probably have it installed on your system already.

make striker
./striker

GLUT Striker

You need the GLUT headers and a working OpenGL environment to build glstriker.

make glstriker
./glstriker

Have fun! And feel free to drop me an email.

Thanks
